On the 2nd of February 1960 our school opened its doors. Today we are known as Durban North Primary School and we consist of 15 classes ranging from Grade R to Grade 7 with 30 staff members on our books.

The modern world requires us to be team players, lateral thinkers and independent workers and the challenge for us as teachers is to excite our pupils, give each an opportunity to develop and reveal that which they enjoy most and inspire excellence through dedicated, innovative teaching making the most of technology and resources available.

We at Durban North Primary School, count our age by our friends and achievements and celebrate our history as a canvas that reflects changes made in our community and our country. We pay tribute to those who came before us, and we look to the future with the conviction that we will continue to play an influential role within the realms of education and our community.
